Nando's Edinburgh - Omni Centre

If you're in the heart of Edinburgh and craving flame-grilled chicken with a bold twist, Nando's Edinburgh - Omni Centre is the spot that consistently delivers. Conveniently located at Unit 2, Omni Centre, Calton Square, this vibrant eatery isn’t just another chicken joint-it’s a full-blown peri-peri playground packed with flavor, atmosphere, and accessibility.

Walking into Nando's Omni Centre, you're immediately greeted by a warm, energetic vibe that feels equally suited for solo diners, lunch crowds, or dinner catch-ups with friends. The space is modern and relaxed, with both indoor seating and an inviting outdoor area-perfect for enjoying that golden hour glow while diving into a Double Chicken Wrap or Sunset Burger.

Now, let’s talk food-because that’s what makes Nando's legendary. The Chicken Butterfly is a top-tier pick: juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection, with a side of Peri Peri Sauce that ranges from Lemon & Herb to Extra Hot, depending on how brave you’re feeling. You can keep it classic with 1/2 Chicken with 2 Sides, or explore more playful options like the Grilled Chicken Wrap or the plant-based Great Imitator with peas and mashed potatoes.

The menu doesn’t just shine with mains-it’s the sides that turn a meal into an experience. From Corn on the Cob to Garlic Bread, and even Rainbow Salad for those leaning green, there’s something for every palate. If you’re sharing, grab a Whole Chicken with Tenderstem Broccoli and Spiced Grains with Butternut Squash-it’s a meal that satisfies without the food coma.

For the younger crowd, Nandino’s menu offers something sweet and playful like the Strawberry Gelado, while the drinks selection covers all the bases. Whether you’re sipping a Diet Coke, craft beer, or one of their smooth wines, it’s easy to settle in for a full evening. The restaurant also offers free water refills-a small but thoughtful perk that’s surprisingly rare.

What sets this Nando’s apart from other locations is its setting within the Omni Centre. Before or after your meal, you can catch a movie, enjoy nearby shopping, or simply relax in one of Edinburgh’s most lively entertainment districts. It’s this balance of quality food, casual vibes, and urban convenience that makes it such a popular destination for both locals and visitors.

If you’re coming with accessibility needs, the location has you covered. The wheelchair-accessible entrance, seating, and toilets make the space inclusive and easy to navigate, without compromising on ambiance or comfort. It’s also a quick bite destination, with takeaway and delivery options readily available for those on the go.

And dessert? Don’t skip it. Nando’s serves up great dessert options to round out your meal-ideal for those who like to end with something sweet, whether it’s a slice of indulgent cake or a refreshing frozen treat.

When you’re looking for healthy options, Nando’s doesn’t disappoint either. From grilled proteins to balanced side dishes, you’ll find choices that satisfy both your cravings and your lifestyle goals. Plus, vegan and vegetarian dishes are clearly marked and flavorful, proving that plant-based doesn’t mean boring.

In a city full of dining options, Nando's Edinburgh - Omni Centre manages to blend familiar comfort food with bold, crave-worthy flavors. It’s casual yet exciting, fast but thoughtful, and always full of that unmistakable peri-peri energy that keeps people coming back.

The workers and service were overall quite good, and the actual food was good too. My only complaints are that my halloumi sticks were quite rubbery, although in other Nando's restaurants I have really enjoyed them. Also, my peri-salted chips were quite oversalted but still tasted good. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal.

We don’t have Nando’s on mainland Europe so it’s always a treat when I come to the UK. Large Nando’s, friendly staff, good customization options, good sauces, halloumi always for the win

The restaurant is nice and the service is welcoming and efficient. However, the food is nothing to remember. The chicken is fairly bland if not for the sauce. The price makes the experience even worse, since it does not match what you have in front of you. It is just overprized chicken. I would not come back or recommend it. The sauce which should be the star, is not anything special. In other words, if you don't have dinner here you have not missed anything.

Food...really good, sumptuous and tasty Service ... prompt and with a smile . Staff were generally friendly (permit me to mention Sofia here) Atmosphere...nice ambience and warm toned decor. We ordered a shared platter. All three of us agreed the chicken was nicely cooked and we enjoyed the flavours. We tried the sweet potato wedges (for the first time) which came with garlic mayonnaise..that was a lovely combination too.
